I am sending my heartfelt condolences to the family of LA County Fire Fighter Jonathan Flagler, who passed away this morning after sustaining fatal injuries while engaged in fire fighting operations at a single family residence in Rancho Palos Verdes. Fire Fighter Flagler was a 21-year veteran of the fire service, having served 19 years with the Vernon Fire Department before transitioning to the Los Angeles County Fire Department in October 2020. He is survived by his wife and two teenage sons. I want to thank Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Tony Marrone and every single member of the LA County Fire Department as our County family mourns this terrible loss. In honor of Firefighter Flagler’s memory, all County Departments will lower all flags to half-staff.
