FOOD RESOURCES
Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, CalFresh/SNAP benefits will be delayed for the month of November. This will impact 1.5 million LA County children and adults rely on this program to access food. Our district has the highest number of CalFresh recipients, with over 390,000 people who need this program to help get groceries.

FREE Meal Programs at LA County Parks
Youth Snack Program Available at Monday through Friday from 3-4 pm for anyone ages 17 & under
Teen Supper Program Available at
16 parks Monday through Friday at 7 pm for anyone ages 12 - 18
Senior Nutrition Program Available at
9 parks Monday through Friday from 11 am - 1 pm for anyone 60 and older
Eligibility changes to MediCal are going into effect in January. Regardless of your immigration status, residents should register for Medi-Cal before January 1, 2026, in order to keep or gain healthcare coverage.
