Group Responsibilities

Groups agree to provide current contact information for use by members of the general public who wish to reserve a seat on the scheduled trip.

Groups are responsible for obtaining all necessary clearances, passes, permits, and other requisites associated with the trip.

Groups may be responsible for parking, and other similar charges associated with the trip.

Groups must contact the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (PW) at (888) 524-6287 to cancel a trip at least 48-hours before the scheduled pick-up time. Groups may be responsible for late cancellation fees if a trip is cancelled with less than 48-hours’ notice.

Groups are responsible for informing all persons who reserved a seat on the trip, including members of the general public, of any trip cancellation or modification.

Groups will maintain a roster of trip participants, including contact information. Groups agree to provide copies of the rosters when requested by a Supervisorial Office and/or PW.

Groups are responsible for costs associated with damage to buses, including cleaning graffiti, soiled seats, or other damages.

Groups will not charge or seek reimbursement from any passenger for the requested Charter Bus Service.

Day of the Trip Information

Groups must be ready for pick-up and departure as detailed in the trip confirmation. Vendors may have limited availability due to other trip assignments and may be forced to leave without the group if the group is not ready to depart as scheduled.

Groups must have a chaperone that will travel with the group and will oversee the group while on the bus.

Groups should contact PW, at (888) 524-6287, if a bus does not arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time or if there are other problems during the trip.

The County, PW, or the charter bus company are not responsible for any loss, theft or damage to any personal items carried/transported by passengers in the bus during the trip.

For everyone’s safety and comfort groups shall adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout the duration of the trip.

The requested Charter Bus Service will be available on the same terms to all members of the general public who request to use this service subject only to the same space limitations applicable to persons who have been specifically invited to use the service.

The requested Charter Bus Service will be equally available to all persons regardless of religious belief.

The requested Charter Bus Service will not be used to transport public elementary school, middle school, or high school students for school-related activities before or during normal school hours.

The requested Charter Bus Service will not be used by a private school for school purposes.

The destination event is: (a) for a non-religious educational, recreational or cultural experience; and (b) not for the purpose of promoting any particular religion or religious belief.
