The Bridge Point South Bay II project, located at 20850 Normandie Ave, was approved for an approximately 200,000 sq. ft. warehouse and logistics hub in 2020 by the Board of Supervisors. As part of the project’s approval, Bridge Point was required to provide $300,000 for a community improvement fund for the unincorporated community of West Carson.

Once staff have confirmed the form was received, the form will be forwarded to the Community Advisory Panel (CAP) and the appropriate County departments. The CAP will review the proposals within 4 to 6 weeks after the proposals are received. We will notify applicants on the status of their proposals.

In November 2023, residents of unincorporated West Carson submitted proposals for potential improvement projects, leading to the identification of 9 projects. In the coming weeks, a Community Advisory Panel (CAP) comprised of 5 volunteers representing the broader West Carson community will meet to assess each proposal. They will consider the pros and cons of each project, determining which one(s) will have the most positive impact for the greater community of West Carson.
In February 2024, the CAP members will vote to recommend one or more proposals to the Directors of Regional Planning, Public Works and any other responsible agencies with jurisdiction over the specific improvements.
